Who we are

reMARKable Design Studio is a web design and SEO studio based on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean reMARKable Design Studio.

You can contact us about privacy at any time at mark@remarkabledesignstudio.com.

What we collect

We only collect personal information we need to answer you and to work with you.

• When you use one of our enquiry forms (on the contact page or the call-back button): your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), what you need help with, your message, whether you’d like a call or an email, and the page you sent it from.
• When you email or call us: whatever details you choose to share.
• When you become a client: the details we need to do the work and invoice you, such as your business name and contact details, and any website or account access you give us.
• Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. These are used to keep the site secure and running, and the form uses your IP address briefly to block spam. When you use one of our enquiry forms, Cloudflare’s spam check also receives your IP address and technical details about your browser (see below).

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t use analytics or advertising trackers, and our own pages don’t set cookies.

When you open or start filling in one of our enquiry forms, the page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that runs in your browser to tell people from spam bots. It isn’t loaded before then. Cloudflare says the information Turnstile uses is strictly necessary to detect and block bots, and isn’t collected to identify, profile or target anyone.

If we add analytics in future, we’ll update this policy first.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry by phone or email, the way you asked.
• To prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to deliver our services.
• To send invoices and keep the business records the law requires.
• To keep the website secure and stop spam.

We don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and we won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Staying anonymous

You can browse this website without telling us who you are. To reply to an enquiry we need a way to contact you, but you’re welcome to use a first name or nickname.

Who we share your information with

We use a few trusted service providers to run the website, block spam and handle email. They process information on our behalf and only for that purpose, except where noted below:

• Google (Firebase): hosts this website and runs the forms that send your enquiry to us.
• Resend: delivers the form’s email to our inbox.
• Cloudflare (Turnstile): checks that an enquiry comes from a person, not a spam bot, before it’s sent. It receives your IP address and technical details about your browser, but not what you type in the form. Cloudflare also uses this information to improve its bot detection. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum.
• Google Workspace: our email provider, which stores the emails we send and receive.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Sending information overseas

Our enquiry forms run on Google’s servers in Sydney. Resend, which delivers the form’s email to us, is based in the United States and may keep a copy of each email it sends, so your form details are also stored there. Cloudflare, which runs the spam check on our forms, is a United States company with a global network, so the information its check receives may be processed in the United States and other countries. Google may store and process other website data in Australia and in other countries, including the United States. Google Workspace, which holds our email, may store it in Australia and in other countries, including the United States. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments.

Keeping your information safe, and for how long

The website is served over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only we, and the providers listed above, handle your enquiries. We keep enquiries as part of our business records. If you’d like us to delete your details, email mark@remarkabledesignstudio.com and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email mark@remarkabledesignstudio.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. There’s no charge.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we’ve handled your information, please email mark@remarkabledesignstudio.com. We’ll look into it and reply within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed.
